About
Hey! My name is Midas Klare, but you might know me as Inverted Silence.
I’m a producer/composer/bachelor of music student from the Netherlands.
The name Inverted Silence signifies a large contrast between hard hitting walls of sound and quiet melodic intricacies. It’s a name that implies loudness as well as quietness, depending on the way you look at it.
My work is inspired by the Japanese “Dōjin scene”, film & game soundtracks, jazz, and the likes of Haywyre, Desembra, Louis Cole, and KOAN Sound. I aim to create story-like fusions that capture the imagination.
Outside of my musical endeavours I’m also known for my programming project together with Dylan Tallchief: the Live Enhancement Suite, a free workflow tool for Ableton Live which has garnered thousands of downloads since the day of its release, helping musicians from all over the world be more productive.
During my childhood I grew up in a very musically positive household. Both of my parents are artists who encouraged me to experiment with electronics at a very young age. Because of this, I’ve always been interested in computers and art. In a sense, it’s not very surprising that I’d grow up to become a massive musical nerd.
